Not only will you get the drowsiness side effect potentially but it is an antihistamine and will dry out mucous membrane secretions like
your eyes, mouth, urinary tract, etc

around 300 mg or so you will also get muscle cramping particularly in the legs that people have described to me as the worst they have ever experienced

First of all, why would you recreationally wanna OD on benadryl? The max does is 400mg/day. More than that you'd probably sleep a whole lot and probably throw up. Toxicity probably doesn't occur until you get up probably more than 2000mg.

Bradycardia (slow heart rate). I imagine it could kill you if you took too much.
Sleeping pills are all different. They contain different drugs.
