Charts and figures help a lot in memorizing, for things like the metabolic cycles..
If you need to remember organism names and enzyme names..make some kind of a linkage between them,
and don't try to remember it all at once, break it down and take breaks.
And if you revise them everyday, in a week you won't be able to forget them.

Study a section/ metabolic pathway for 45 mins. or less until you feel you know it.
Then get a family member or friend to listen for maximum 15 minutes while you explain the basic details...you may find that you learn as you teach.
Go outside and get some fresh air and then study for another 45 mins.

Get lots of sleep...power naps (5-15 mins) are really revitalising throughout the day.

The problem with this type of material is it is difficult to cram for an exam. It is best learned by staying current by studying and learning each class lecture. This takes time and motivation but the results are superior.

If this is a course you are trying to breeze through and has nothing to do with your major or career choice, pick up any study guide for free at your library and it spells it out.

If you are going into a bio science field, I hope your intent is to commit this information to your long term memory.

Good luck, really, memorization (one m) technique is basic. Pick up a guide.

Break it down into smaller sections and work one section at a time. It's less intimidating that way.
