they are called filet minon, and I think the best way to cook them are under the broiler

They're called medallions, fillet mignon has also been known to be served this way, although I think that's a waste of a steak! Cooked them like you would a steak... They're no different, the bacon is there for flavor and tenderness.

Fillet Mignon? Try grilling or broiling.
And to answerer #1 they are a very popular item. You'll have to give it a try. Usually your local grocery store will have them in their meat case, they, of course, are a "mock" version since real fillet Mignon is very expensive.
