You can use any of the Pillsbury or Betty Crocker tubs in the cake section but be sure to take your mixer to the frosting before spreading it. It will make the frosting more fluffy. You can also use Cool Whip and take some chocolate syrup and mix them together, and you have a chocolate frosting. Be sure to put it in the refrigirator.

it depends on the kind of cake you are making...
cream cheese frosting is good, chocolate is always a good choice in my opinion. most baking companies make ready to use frosting in a variety of flavors. if you want to make one on your own check out food.com (the food network) or epicurious.com (they have tons of recipes).
