Or do they allow Christians to be the umpires since we're more likely to be honest anyway?

Yes, exactly Jim.....whatever you say, I'll agree with it.....today ;)

Although you could probably keep them from cheating by offering them immortality....maybe.....I dunno.....

More likely to be honest? What's this sack of crap? Hey, if you want to judge anybody, go on facts, not your puny assumptions.

I'm an atheist... I've seen more Christians in jail than atheists, so yeah, sure, because you're Christian, you'll be more honest...

P.S. Hope you know the hypocrisy you're showing isn't considered a form of honesty.

If Christians are so honest, why are there more Christians in prison than atheists?

Prison statistics

Judeo-Christian 83.761% (of the 74731 total responses)

Note that atheists, being a moderate proportion of the USA population (about 8-16%) are disproportionately less in the prison populations (0.21%).

Let me stop laughing & then I'll answer.
OK .. ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha OK, OK
We pick atheist umpires on the assumption they can actually ( get ready, a non-theological term is about to pop in here) EXPLAIN their decisions.

With a Christian ump, you might have to wait 40 days and 40 nights before he calls a rain-delay, or accept that a beaner was "divine retribution," or that the strike zone was "only known to those who accepted Jesus."

Christians are in no way more likely to be honest than Atheists. Have a look at the prisons, if you want proof on that fact. Morality and religion are not mutually inclusive.

Just a theory here - but wouldn't people who do not expect divine forgiveness have a pretty high value on human forgiveness and mutual respect? They aren't getting it anywhere else. It seems like there is a logical drive for honesty in atheism.

Do Christians use God as the umpire since he's so fair and just.

How long do you have to pray before he responds to whether the ball was fair or foul?

You mean like Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert or more like Ted Haggard and George W.M.D. Bush?
