If I go with out it: I can not think clearly, I will be annoyed by anything, and I may start to get a little shaky, I will not sleep (I have gone about 3 weeks with no sleep at all), I will be very jumpy, I will also get very bad headaches and hear people call my name when no one is around.

I don't think that I am addicted. I think this stuff should be considered a wander drug. It has a great affect on me, and it could have medical uses if it can fix all these things almost instantly. Without this stuff I would just fall apart. I need this stuff, but it could help everyone. I think everyone should try it.

FORGET REHAB, I have friends who have gone there, they say prison was better than that place, But they use some stronger stuff.

Um, Yeah. Allow me to be the first to break the news to you...you are an addict. I wonder why you think that this drug you're doing is so wonderful, when it seems to be causing you some pretty weird side effects...Not sleeping for weeks can make you hallucinate, and if you're ALREADY hearing voices, something tells me that a trip to Rehab is in your near future. IF you're lucky, and don't die from this or kill someone else in your seriously whacked-out state of mind. Both of which are very real possibilities.... Look, you said you're 18 years old. That's too young to ruin your own life, or somebody else's. If you can't stop taking this drug on your own, ask for help from your doctor, your parents, ANYONE at ALL. Do you really want to end up with your own cozy little room in the psych ward??? Get some help. Quit taking this drug. It may temporarily be making your life seem more interesting, but that is a high price to pay for brain damage, death, or jail time. Good Luck. (I wish I had gotten clean at 18.....so many wasted years.)

What subtance are your referring to? - XANAX, VALIUM, KLONOPIN?

I'm guessing Benzodiazapam abuse. You have to ween yourself off - NOT cold turkey. That class of drugs is tougher to get off of than the all mighty "H". There is a physical dependency, but a STRONGER mental addiction. Dangerous drug.

If you are an insomniac, and are prescribed Ambien, and it makes you sleep like a baby, you're addicted. You have anxiety, and are prescribed Xanax, and that makes you float through your day with no cares in the world. You're addicted. Both insomnia and anxiety are such large issues in some's lives that when presented with a "cure", that is perceived as a miracle. But 2-10 years down the line, when you're ready to "quit", thats when the miracle turns into a nightmare.

"Um, how about Caffeine?"

Wow, you need pro help for that little vice. Good luck. Lay off the Jolt in the meantime killer. Sorry for wasting my time thinking you had a RX problem.

I looked at your profile. You seem psuedo-thug whiteboy from the south. Dont your homies crack on you for your dehibilitating caffeine addiction? OR...is that why you're on this forum for advice, 'cause you cant confide in them? I'm not knocking you, this just seems kind of silly. However, I'm not a doctor or ever researched that type of addiction.
