It almost defeats the purpose and goes against the Bible. Then again, most of the nuns I knew turned out to be gay. And what straight reverend is perfect? There are plenty of pastors on the DL. At least the lesbian reverend would attract others like her to God and the last time I checked, EVERYONE needs the Lord. So, that's actually God's call.

I personally think that one should uphold a Biblically upright life if they are a leader of the flock (at least publicly, since no one knows what they are doing in private). That also means no adultery, no divorce, remarriage, stealing, lying, cheating etc. etc. Who could avoid all these sins? Very few could.
But then I don't attend Church, so my opinion really doesn't count.

In Revelation concerning the 7 Letters to the 7 churches God favored only 1 and it was the Church of Philadelphia for they kept the word of God i guess 1 out of seven not bad the true church is the body of Christ what does he say about that if the church does not keep the word of God they are not a true church of God

I'm an Atheist, so the religion part of this question doesn't matter to me.
However, I do respect the fact that she continues to do no matter what people think. She is showing people that homosexuality is NOT a bad thing, and it doesn't make you a BAD person, regardless of ignorant beliefs.
I would actually attend this church...at least to see what she is saying. It would be a good learning experience. I only wish that all people would be as open-minded about it. They may learn something.

For a reverand to be lesbian is going against Gods word.
Not only did God state that being with the same sex was an abomination as said here.....
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
And God has also said to lie with an animal is also an abomination...
Leviticus 18:23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.
Another thing I would like to mention, is that a women is not to have headship over man. For the system in which God set up, was that man shall have headship over all; and that woman shall be a helper. Here are the verses to support this.....
Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
This 'Reverand' is no follower of Christ at all; it is almost like an oxymoron. For one to be lesbian(when God has stated his displeasment against it) and a women to be reverand are not following Gods word. This women is leading the flock astray, and those following her are going to be lost in false doctrine.
That is why many left, because she is not at all with Gods' word, but only leading many astray in her state.

Hypocritical if you go by the Bible. Homosexuality is a big sin in the Bible. If she's going to go by the Bible, then she'll have to curb her deviant urges. If she continues to practice homosexuality, then she's just another hypocrite, like many others that preach, yet do the opposite. It's like saying, what do you think of the pedophile priest that preaches the word of God? Do you think he should continue practicing pedophilia, even though he preaches the good news so well?

NO! Just because she is "spreading the gospel" means she is a christian. The bible says in Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

She is not a true reverend. Only according to Gods ordained way can one be a reverend and He Himself states that one must be a man and one must be blameless.
She may be a fine women and maybe a Christian but she is not a qualified reverend.
