They have an earthy and distinctive taste, usually very tender, different from any other meat. They are often an acquired taste, and like others have said, a bit greasy. The flavor of lamb is stronger and richer and somewhat more gamey than chicken or pork. Garlic goes very well with lamb.

often times they're lamb, often times they're mutton (sheep older than 2 years) labelled as lamb. similar animal, different age. i do not understand if there's a way you may tell how previous animal became that the particular reduce of meat got here from. i love lamb chops. they opt to be cooked precise, like each and every thing, else, yet i quite savor them. My husband won't be able to get round the lamb situation, even with the truth that. i wager he isn't any longer as at peace at the same time with his inner predator as i'm.

They are great very slightly sweet a taste all of its own. I love roast leg of lamb roasted with a few garlic cloves pushed into the meat (remove them before eating) Served with mint jelly but not the real sweet kind. In Britain the mint jelly is not as sweet as some of the American brands..yummy.

Can you describe how salt tastes?
It's salty.
Lamb does not taste like chicken or beef, and it isnt gamey like deer can be.

But it is delicious.

They're really tender meat with some fat you'll want to trim off. A little greasy, and very filling. Enjoy!
