Regarding Shabnam Mughal and many other women who are in a professional position who demand to wear the veil (which in my opinion looks out of place). We are not living in a middle eastern country to dress so extreme, even they are changing with times nobody in dubai wears a face veil. Even when you go for Hajj you are not allowed for any clothing to touch the face, isn't that granted enough by Allah that the the face veil isn't compulsory. They are now also going against the rule by still wearing the face veil with an extra attachment so that is doesn't touch the face, yet it still does touch it by people pushing each other. So why do British women want to wear it like it is some sort of ego and tit for tat kind of thing. These women don't look educated they look rather absurd. Shabnam Mughal is being very unreasonable to her profession.
a man said the presenter of the Channel 4 Dispacthes "Women Only Jihad" was not wearing a hijab, she did wear it as she got closer to the mosque. This lady is a very good presenter I have seen her in the other programmes too, she does her job very well and does not deserve to be critisized. These men have no right to say if anyone was wearing a hijab or not, isn't that supressing women? What opinion do these kind of men hold about women who don't wear a hijab do they think they don't practice - of course they do. Many of my friends do not wear the hijab but they do pray five times a day and have more humanity, are more charitable than the people who wear it. They are broadminded and they believe that Islam is in their hearts not in the hijab. It is necessary to integrate within boundaries as long as you don't go against Islam. This is totally different to the suffragettes who fought for all women, in this case all women don't want to wear the hijab.

I know that have read it it says modesty or as you say nakedness Meaningh body breast etc not face hands or feet. I have heard on TV in Egypt that Muslims can wear sexy clothes under the coats but should cover their feet how stupid is that, this was Islamic teaching for foraingners the rules apparently allow women to wear nothing in the home as long as their feet are coverd out side pules every thing else out of the home to honer Allah ???

"And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, (with their Khimar) and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you believers, that you may succeed." 24:31

ok this has been a long debated topic. Go and read and THEN come to me and tell me I'm not supposed to cover myself. Don't forget to read the history as well as the meaning of the Quran. That might help. Part of covering the beauty is the hair.

Veils
First you should look at the ruling on the veil.
There are many virtues on the ruling on the veil.
Heres one to start off with
Question:
is it right for someone to say that since wearing hijab is not one of the five pillars of islam therefore it is really not that important?
Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.
This is a mistake, because hijaab is obligatory for women. Allaah is the One Who has commanded women to cover their adornments, including the face, bosom and all their adornments. This has been enjoined upon women as a protection against abuse and temptation. That is because women are the focus of desire, and the focus of what those who are tempted look at. So if a woman uncovers her beauty she will provoke desire, and people will become attracted to her and will follow her. This is the cause of many immoral actions such as adultery and the things that lead to it. So hijaab is obligatory for women and was enjoined upon them in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):
“…and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)…”
[al-Noor 24:31]
The veil (khimaar) is that which comes down from the head and covers the face, and the jilbaab is an outer garment with which a woman covers herself, leaving no part of her body showing.
And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“…And when you ask (his [the Prophet’s] wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen…”
[al-Ahzaab 33:53]
So it is a protection for women so that there will be no room for people to treat them as playthings.
Question:
Is wearing niqaab one of the conditions of Islamic dress for women?
Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.
Hijaab in Arabic means covering or concealing. Hijaab is the name of something that is used to cover. Everything that comes between two things is hijaab.
Hijaab means everything that is used to cover something and prevent anyone from reaching it, such as curtains, door keepers and garments, etc.....
