Water baptism isn't necessary for salvation. It's an outward expression of what's already happened after you've decided to follow Christ. It has no saving power in itself.

Baptism is not a way to get into heaven, or a statement of faith, or anything that "earns" you salvation. It is a sign and a seal of God's covenant with his own people (which validates infant baptism, by the way). Neither do you "accept" Jesus, salvation is all God's initiative and doing. If and when God gives you faith, you are heaven-bound.

Baptism can be a baptism of the heart. God isn't interested in practices of the flesh. He asks about your heart (that's a reference to what's happening deep inside who you really are not your blood's pump). If there is a change there from a desire for sin to a desire to God then water won't make you any more or less saved. It baptism commanded? Yes, and it's such and easy commandment to keep. But if you are prevented by what ever condition exists (car accident)
What happened in your heart is what really counts... Jim

No, baptism has nothing to do with your salvation. The guy next to Jesus on the cross was not baptized, and Jesus promised him salvation. John 6:47 "I (Jesus) tell you the truth, he who believe in Me, will have eternal life". That's it!!

It is good to be baptized but not a commandment.Remember the thief on the cross with Jesus,he was not baptized but Jesus told him he would be with him in paradise.

Yes, they will get into heaven because they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and repented for all of their sins.
