by John Hagee...sounds like we are heading down a very narrow path to overall war. Anyone have any feedback on this book?

I read it about a year ago and agree with much, but not all, of Mr. Hagee's conclusions. Overall, John Hagee has a tendancy to lean toward showmanship, so I always urge caution whenever someone mentions they're listening to his sermons or reading his books. His sermons are mesmerizing, but they're not always factual.

My memory tells me Mr. Hagee places the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion during the Tribulation. This is blatently incorrect, because Ezekiel 39 tells us the Israelites will be burning the implements of war for 7 years after the invasion; yet, other prophesies tell us that, half way through the Tribulation, the Jews will flee to Bozrah, probably to the city of Petra. If the Jews are burning for 7 years continuously, how can they also be in Bozrah? The math doesn't add up. So the Eze. 38/39 invasion must occur at least 3 1/2 years BEFORE the Tribulation.

Check out "Iran, the Coming Crisis" by Mark Hitchcock, "Epicenter," by Joel Rosenberg and (my favorite) "Footsteps of the Messiah," by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum. It's always good to look at Biblical matters from several different directions so you can weigh the evidence.

Peace.

The thesis that the 'end of days' is near, and that the proof of which can be found both in today's news and in the Scripture, is fascinating. The first third of this book makes, and defends, this point in a very compelling and easy-to-read way. After the first 80 or so pages, however, Rev. Hagee's point has been made and he veers off into a very detailed history of Israel and why Israel, and Jewish people, are God's chosen ones. The Israeli history and biblical ties are very interesting, but do little to support the original premise of the book. Hagee makes the same points over and over again, not for emphasis, but seemingly because he forgot that the points were already made! The result: a very repetitive, preachy and disjointed 100 pages or so. Had Hagee published the first third of the book as a stand alone article, it would be a 'must read' for ALL Americans. As it stands, readers may do best to look for a detailed summary and save the time.

Great book! I have a copy that I am in the process of reading myself! Hagee always tells it like it is! I listen to him on TV every chance I get! The book is really current with news events. A pretty remarkable read.

Biblical prophecy replaced into no more advantageous suited 30 years in the past than that is sweet this second.

I don`t know if it is mentioned in this book but economists have worked out that the mineral deposits of the dead sea amount to a staggering Trillion, trillion dollars, this would be enough to take over Israel on it`s own.
