I sport a beard. My beard hairs are not straight and beard is bit messy. There are many knots at end of beard hairs. Could anyone suggest how can I keep my beard hair straight and get rid of knots?

Buy a detangler and comb it through gently. If your beard is fairly long start using shampoo and conditioner on it when you shower.

You have to trim it. The likely cause is split ends. When the hair shaft starts to splinter, it becomes very dry and wiry, and the ends wrap around each other and tangle easier. You don't have to trim much, even a cm would do the trick, just to keep the hair tips smooth.

You could also try rubbing a bit of conditionner in the ends of the hair shafts. It will make them smoother and less prone to knotting.

This may sound strange but my husband has the same problem and what we have found that works is when you are in the shower washing your hair wash your beard and add a little conditioner to it and it will help.

I have really been trying to grow my hair out to braid it. I think that if you style your beard with braids. Else you can always condition it, that works pretty well.
