I would suggest a military recruiter. Only because you can speak to a person, and read body language as your questions are being answered. If they cannot point you to the right direction, just poke around the web.

Please don't bother a military recruiter asking him or her about them, as some other people have suggested. Recruiters don't have this kind of information, and military academies (as opposed to the service academies like West Point and Annapolis) are not feeders for active-duty military. I know of two military schools in Missouri: Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri and Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri. I'm sure they both have websites.

Depending on the age of your children and your reasons for choosing military education, I suggest checking out the National Guard Youth Challenge Program at www.ngycp.org. My son graduated from Arizona Project Challenge Dec.2005. This place is INCREDIBLE! And it's 100% free. The residential phase is 6 months and the post-residential phase is 12 months. Each Corp-member communicates with his/her mentor. Scholarships are abundant. Authorized by Congress in 1993 Defense Authorization Bill. Completely voluntary. My son returned from AZ Proj. Challenge as a wonderful, respectful young man. I am forever thankful for this program. Check out Arizona's website at www.azpc.org. Best of luck to you & family.
