I'm 34. I'm desperate to lose weight. I had worked hard and lost 50 lbs but it's slowly creeping back on. I've been to doctors for these problems but there is no cure.
I can't exercise more. I'm very active taking care of a small farm, so I am not lying around or watching TV. I just can't do aerobics (it makes me feel TERRIBLE)
Every so often my lower back will flare up, making mobility very hard for a few days.
Food is the only thing that does give me energy, with my chronic fatigue. I've tried sugar-free diet, carb-free, South Beach, organic, macrobiotic,& you name it. I've tried vitamins, supplements, antidepressants,P/T
I tried walking to lose weight, and I ended up with shin spints and more back pain.
I'm still 80 lbs overweight. Too little to get my HMO to pay for a dietician and possibly bariatric surgery (stomache stapling). But it's like carrying around a 80 lb boat anchor wherever I go.
I'm young and keep very busy, but I just can't lose weight

I can relate to you! I also have fibro and CFS, and back problems! You say you stay active on the farm, although not doing a regular exercise program. That is enough activitiy, espeically for a person who suffers from fatigue. In fact, I couldn't do as much as you are doing. I have no energy and feel very tired all the time.
As for losing weight and diets, what kind of foods are you eating and how big proportions and how often do you eat? You should work on eating 5 or 6 small meals a day (about half of what you would normally consume for a meal). Eat VERY slowly, and by eating slowly you'll get a full feeling faster (although you won't feel as full as you did while eating bigger meals). It will take time. At first you'll feel as though you are hungry all the time, until your stomach starts to shrink. This should take about 1 to 2 weeks. So just be patient! Eat healthy foods. I'm assuming you are cooking at home and not eating "fast foods" or sodas, or sugary foods, since your desire is to lose weight. If you can, eliminate or cut down or the amount of dairy and meat products you consume. Dairy is VERY high in fat! When you buy food at the store ALWAYS look at the food labels to see how many grams of fat are in each item and pick what you buy accordingly. Also, try to drink about 1 gallon of water a day. This is very important.
Try to eat whole grains like rice and bread, and as many raw fruits and veggies as you can. Snack on raw almonds. Do NOT try to starve yourself by cutting out meals. That will only make your metabolism slow down. By eating little meals more often your metabolism will increase.
Good luck! I know how hard it is because I am too struggling to lose 30 more lbs. Especially when you are hurting and tired all the time!

If you do not put it in your mouth, it cannot show up on your bones.
Nature did not give you a stomach or body system that functions normally with man made chemistry!
We all know the drill, FRESH dark green veg-tables, Fresh fruit,
red meat, fish, foul and 8 glasses of water a day!
Only three meals aday, in your case, only one serving per meal!
Not fried, for you, cut out the butter, cakes and you know the rest.
You have problems walking because you do not pay attention to your shoes and socks! Two pairs of socks, Silk or nylon first then wool. Your feet slides on the wool but not the leather of your shoe.
Shoe has to be 1/2 size too large with both socks on!
Shoe must have ankle support, any thing less spell feet problems! Belong to Germany walking club, IVV, look it up on the Internet1 More than 15,000 miles on the feet. NEVER one foot issue.

I have a bad back and lost weight and did not exercise. I do Atkins but it is a lifestyle change and not a diet. I lost 50 pounds and kept every one off for going on 3 years. The excuse not to be able to lose weight cause you can't exercise I am sorry to say is just an excuse.

what is your current height and weight? Then give me a list of
all the things you have ate and drank for the past seven days.
Then give me a list of all medications, drugs, and vitamins you
have taken for the past seven days. Then give me a list of
your problems. Then describe in detail what you do on the farm.
