From the sounds of things you probably aren't going about things the right way, To threaten your man will just make him more defiant. Really, if your relationship is at the point you are willing to make his life a living hell, you should really be looking for someone new. From the beginning of the relationship, you and your partner should want to do all you can for one another!! To make each other feel happy and safe is your goal. Not to bully them or be bullied. My advice, look for someone whodosen't need to be told what to do!! Someone who can read you so well he just knows what you need!! Good luck on your life journey.

Depends on what you're telling them. Maybe they already know that what you are telling them WILL make their life a living hell.

You know the best way to tell a man to do something is do it in a way that they don't even think you're asking. Therefore they think that they've initiated the situation (no male pride hurt) and you get what you want with minimum hassle. Try it some time!

I know exactly, how you feel! If my husband would just listen to me, he could save himself from so much trouble. When I was a teenager, my mother explained the facts of life to me, "men are just not as smart as women, they don't think with their brains as much, and it is useless to try to change them, but subtle guilt works better than getting made at them. It's just the way they are. I'm not male bashing here, I love men, especially my husband, but they never fully grow up, they just can't help it.

If you're looking for a man who'll do whatever you tell them to, get a butler. Don't get a boyfriend unless you're looking for a relationship between two equals. You know... give and take...
