There is this poety contest my school was advertising and it said it must be postmarked on the 5th of december(oops) so they have a website and I can send it to them...Am I still able to send it in for my poem to be counted for.

Sorry I didn't know where else to put this.

Sounds like you missed the deadline. It had to be postmarked the 5th so the deadline was the 5th. The reason they say that is because people who are disqualified because they were late and try to blame the US mail will not get away with it. The post office stamps things the day you drop it off, so whether by mail or email 12/5 is the deadline. This way if your poem got there on 12/7 but you mailed it on 12/4 they will know you had it submitted in time.

Check the website and call a customer service number or email or something provided, or submit through the website if you can.
