JFK because The Air Train to the LIRR and into Penn Station is faster and easier to do then the bus subway combination from LGA
The cab fare is the same $45.00
And one additional item this being winter and all;
The runways at JFK range in length from 8500 ' runway 4R/ 22L to 14572 'runway 13R / 31L and there are a couple of 10000 &11000" runways available
Both of the runways at LGA are 7000' long . In bad weather conditions I prefer to use airports w/ the longer runways.

La Guardia is easier if you're taking the subway into the city (cheapest way to do that, by far cheaper than a taxi)

Take LGA. There is to much of a mess @ JFK. I went to get my grandmother @ JFK and they made us park mad far and take a bus and it took about 2 Hrs. to get to teh terminal.

LGA all the way!

And they teh way If you going to Downtown, You have the Grand Central Parkway!.. . So like take the GCP West towards manhattan and use the Triboro Bridge. Whiel on the Bridge take signs that say Manhattan W.125 Street. Take that one. Then while on the 2nd bridge to Manhattan take teh signs that say FDR South Downtown!

If you get off @ JFK you have to Take belt pky West toawrds Brklyn. Ride up the Brklyn side, take 3 highway to get on to teh BQE then take a ramp to Atlandtic pass 3 lights U turn then back to teh Brklyn bridge

Depends in part on WHERE in NYC you are headed. But in general I prefer JFK because: 1. facilities are better. 2. The Airtrain is much much better than the bus you need to take from LGA; 3. LGA has one of the country's worst delay records.

JFK is a little further, and pricier, but you have more options - Skytrain can take you to the Howard Beach station or to Jamaica station.

with LaGuardia, you have to take one of three buses to switch to the subway.

La Guardia - especially if any of your flights will be in dark hours - It can be incredibly beautiful.
