i don't think of that's the communicate board for debate. Inflammatory questions are thrown out to antagonize the two perspectives. many situations the questions are from people who pose as atheists or Christian in simple terms to provoke nasty responses after which hostility. There are different boards the place back and forth debate is inspired. in simple terms not right here. This communicate board is used this form considering that's the only way that is utilized to make factors. i exploit Bible verses many situations because of the fact i think of while questions are asked some Biblical thought, you extra helpful back it up. i admire Christian solutions that contain the two an opinion after which scripture as rationalization for that opinion. those are the solutions I provide suitable answer to in the Vote unsure area. and actually, with such polar opposites in religious ideals and philosophies of existence generally, do you assume civility? that is in simple terms the way this communicate board works. now and back this is exciting and different situations that is stressful.

I am sure that the reasons vary from person to person. Atheisim is not a sect as you have alluded to in your presentation.
Athiesm does not equal and should not be confused with Satanism either.(In the latter instance there certainly is an agenda).
I believe, as a theist, that most atheists are seeking to fill a spiritual void- that this cry is from the spirit and can only be discerned spiritually-the mind is bypassed.

Hello! Iam studying with JWs, after reading most questions from atheists, I came into a conclusion (even asked it here earlier)...Atheists are people who think deep and they do not easily believe what they are told. From most questions I have read, you actually know better perhaps understand the bible better than professing christians.
You do not believe in the trinity (so do we), aside from the fact that it is not true, it is confusing and professing Christians cannot comprehend it themselves.
You cannot accept a God who created a fiery hell where the nonbelievers are burned (so do we), aside from the fact that God finds burning children in the fire disgusting (Jeremiah 2), the bible says that the wages sin pays is death...when one dies, he paid for his sins...he does not need to pay for it in torment. And I cannot imagine a loving God tormenting his children.
There are more but this is is for the mean time.
Atheists argue with professing christians because in their heart they knew that people with such beliefs are misguided.

you mean you don't have meetings???
Seriously, on some level it to try to convince us that we are wrong (I would like to think that this is altruistic but, hey, who doesn't like to be right). On another because a good debate is always a fun time, knowledge of others is never a waste and at least intersting. And maybe for some to convince themselves that you are right (I didn't say all). Perhaps to understand and on occasion some to incite. Overall this is how we learn about what is out there, both Christians, Muslim, Buddists, Athiest, Agnostics, and others.

Atheists argue becasue they are curious about Christianity. Christian chat rooms are always filled with people who are angry about christanity or otherwise just cinfused about it. My entire existence is to glorify God An atheist on the other hand lives for nothing. You wish to be known by everybody as an athiest which means absolutely nothing if you truly believe that there is no God. Humans where designed to worship and in denying Christ you worship youself and seek argument with those who would disagree. (Christians) How do explain that the way that you wish the world to know you is by what you do not believe rather than what you believe?

I believe that most Atheists ague with Christians because they sincerely believe what they are saying. However, there are other Atheists (and every group have some of these knuckleheads, you guys aren't alone in this), who delight in mocking and baiting believers for their own amusement. Unfortunately, those are the ones that people tend to remember.

I think most atheists argue with Christians because they have a dogged belief that they must always be right. Very few of them who visit R&S respect a Christian's right to believe. Most are hateful and bitter toward us, which is totally unwarranted. Deep inside, they seem to believe we are all idiots and they're the only ones who can see this.
Case in point: I receive many emails from atheists who argue evolution with me. The accuse me of being uneducated, but don't respect the fact that I have a degree from one of America's best colleges, where (as an atheist) I majored in pre-Med (I'm now in regulatory law enforcement) and have more scientific knowledge than they do. Despite this, I'm regularly called uneducated or an idiot. (Ironically, the most recent atheist sends me emails berating me for my ignorance, yet he cannot spell, nor does he appreciate the fine points of correct punctuation.) Why am I berated? Because I've dared to believe something THEY don't believe. When did this become a crime?
Peace.

That's exactly why I posted this question last night.....
They do it because we give them something to argue....
No where absoulutely no where does it tell you to argue the word of God with anybody!!
You can not save by fighting with people you save by allowing the light God has given you to be seen through every situation.
Matt 7:6
6"Don't give what is holy to unholy people. Don't give pearls to swine! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

I would think some are just trying to gain an understanding as to why it is a Christian has chosen the path that they have chosen. any true Christian you would think would have no problem explainng that to someone. I would like to think its just not for the sake of arguement. there is some meaningful intelligent debate to be had there. it doesnt always have to devolve into fistcuffs

If you mean on Y/A then It's because you have nothing better to do than go around bullying and mocking people.instead of asking genuine questions like your suppose to.If you mean in my life away from Y/A then I dunno what your talking about because I don't go around preaching or "trying to save souls". Or discussing religion for that matter, unless I'm asked or it happens to come up.
