You played a mouse trying to get cheese and trap cats in bricks you had to make into a box
The game wasn't 3d or anything its a windows game me anad my mother used to play in about 1995-1996
Other little info is that it was a grid looking background like minesweeper
You moved very slowly one little minesweeper block at a time

It was called "Mousetrap"!!
It came with early versions of Windows......
I'am sure if you did a search for it you could find it!

I think you are talking about "Radar Rat Race". You used to run around eating the cheese and trying to avoid the cats - much like PacMan. I had that (ages ago) on the Commodore 64.
The music in the background used to play a MIDI file of "Hickory Dickory Dock".
