the navy is mentally harder on you in the long run because you are out to see 6 months at a time. The Marines is both mentally and physically harder in the begining but in the long run the Marines require more from you physically

First of all, it's the Marine CORPS, not CORE. Seems like a small thing, but things like that matter to people in the Marines.

There is a fundamental difference between the Navy and the Marines. There are far fewer Marines, so they take great pride in "The Few, the Proud" stuff. Their training is much more physically rigorous. The majority of assignments are combat duties.

The Navy, on the other hand, tends to have duties that are more technical. (There are also a lot more options in the Navy.) If you want to shoot a rifle and possibly see combat join the Marines. If you want to have more technical options available to you then go with the Navy.

I would have to say based on what I've heard all my life that the Marines are the hardest branch of them all and the air force is the easiest.
