It certainly would not be my first choice. The germs that it works against the most are not the ones that usually cause dental infections.

I think it's mainly prescribed for urinary tract infections or sometimes an upper respiratory infection. I don't know if it would help an abscessed tooth.

it should...its a general comprehensive spectrim antibiotic
