Being that the subject category is land phones, I'm assuming you meant to say, cordless no wireless. Either your phone is old and worn out (My brother once loaned me an old corded phone for dial up email service, and it was so bad, couldn't be heard by any callers. ), it's gotten a lot of damage, or they're too far away for the phone's reception. It could also be your head phones, but I don't know how it could, unless they're in need of replacement. Why don't you buy new phone, then call the family, and see ifthat makes any difference. another possibility, if you're using it outside, is where you are standing or sitting when using the phone, is too far out of range from the phone's base. try moving closer to the house or where ever in the house, the base is, while still outside.
