Is their a way i can disarm the manufacturers alarm? I got a diagnostics reading that said " Fuel shut down"
The person seems to think that reason for my van problems is my alarm. He said that sometimes if i let my gas get too low that it will trigger the alarm and do a gas shut down because it thinks it has been stolen. Thats what he said. ive only let it get low low one time and that was last year in october2005
so can it be done?

Extra details....
Well, it all started back about 3 months ago. One day my airbag light began staying on all the time. Then later, it was the cruise control. it stopped working. then it was the horn. it stopped working. Then (i know, its like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going and going:)
on a couple of occations it was the blinkers. the stopped working.
OK now to the symptoms thats lead me to ask that question.
One day while driving back from moms to home, the van started jerking. It would not accelerate at all. and then died. after sitting their a while i was able to get it started again and i got it home. Well later on it did the same thing. jerk jump no acceleration and then die. well my husband had the idea if removing the battery terminals thinking it would reset the computer. and it did work. it stopped working and then he took it to a shop. the guy said basically the van wasnt getting any fuel to it. that it could be the alarm or computer board which cost$330

the cruise, horn, and some others are the clock spring (there is a recall out there for your van, go to a dodge dealership and have it replaced. ) the cruse control is the multi function switch (again, i think ther'es a tech support bulitin about this too...) They should be part of a recall, which means that you won't have to pay for those two to be fixed, if your van is part of that. these things shouldn't be making the car die tho. your dodge dealership is going to be the only place where they can put your car on the correct computer to find the problems. i think it's a fuel problem, and you should get those three things fixed. don't give up on your van, that's a good year. just a little money will go a long way with this one.

You didn't mention what the problems actually are. Give us some info on the problems first. This alarm thing might be much to do about nothing, especially if the fuel shut off code is just a recorded code and not an actual problem.

FUEL SHUTDOWN IS POSSIBLY THE ASD OR FUEL PUMP RELAY. IT IS TRIGGERED SOMETIMES WHEN THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FAILS. THE CRUISE CONTROL, HORN AND AIRBAG PROBLEM IS MOST LIKELY
THE CLOCKSPRING..... CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL DODGE DEALER AND SEE IF IT IS UNDER A RECALL...

Could be the fuel pump or fuel filter.
