The Kingdom of God is the expression of Jehovah’s universal sovereignty toward his creatures, or the means used by him to express that sovereignty. This term is used particularly to designate the manifestation of God’s sovereignty through the royal government headed by his Son, Jesus Christ. “Kingdom” may refer to the rulership of the one anointed as King or to the earthly realm ruled by that heavenly government.

The Kingdom of God is the solution to man's problem of wars, poverty, famine, sickness and even death. (Isaiah 35:6, John 5:28, 29, Isaiah 33:24, Psalm 72:16)
When Jesus was on earth he did not only preached about it but showed what will be done during the rule of God's kingdom...healing the sick, feeding the hungry, giving sight to the blind, letting the lame walk, even bringing the death back to life.
The Kingdom of God that we are praying to come is the rule of Jehovah God himself over humans with Jesus as the King.

This is a loaded question. Because it relates to the question of why Jesus was crucified. The gospels say that a sign was nailed to his cross that said, "king of the Jews." Jesus lived in fearful violent times when Rome was frequently crushing rebellions in the land that Jesus lived. If they heard these things concerning a king or kingdom they most definitely seen it as rebellion. Jesus wasn't the only supposed Messiah killed by Rome. The others were believed by their followers to be one who, under the power of God, would deliver them from the occupation of Rome and re-establish a kingdom ruled by a descendant of David. It is likely that many seen Jesus this way. So, "kingdom of God," could very well have originally referred to an anticipated earthly kingdom.

It is God's government. In his model prayer, Jesus prayed for that kingdom (or government) to come. Matt. 6:10 The coming of the kingdom that Jehovah God establishes with his Prince of Peace on the heavenly throne can mean eternal peace for you. The thing to do is to take the course now that gains for us the goodwill of Jehovah God. Then we can indeed feel and experience for ourselves the grand meaning of the chant of the host of angels at the human birth of the Son of God, “Glory in the heights above to God, and upon earth peace among men of good will.” (Luke 2:13, 14; Isa. 61:1, 2)

According to the King James Version of Isaiah 9:6, 7 - it is God's Government.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the GOVERNMENT shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his GOVERNMENT and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."
This is the same Kingdom that he foretold would be preached about just before the end came, in Matthew 24:14 -
"This Good News of the kingdom will be preached in all the earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
Jehovah's Witnesses are fulfilling this prophecy in 235 lands globally in our day.

The 'Kingdome of God' is what shall be present here on this earth, during the 1000yr reighn after Armageddon.
It is said in scriptures(Revelations) that when God comes down from the Heavens to defeat all of the evil in this world, in Armageddon; God shall set up his Kingdom here on earth for 1000 yrs. And we(Christians) will rule and reighn along side with him.
Gods' Kingdom is simply a place in which God dwells in full rightousness........one day it shall be here on earth....one day.

This was the focal point of Jesus ministry. It is a heavenly government that will rule over earth.
And to counter the one irate poster: "by their fruits you will recognize them" Indeed!!!
The scribes and the pharisees likewise viewed Jesus disciples as unlearned. Yes indeed they were arrogant haughty men!
