Most oranges are dyed on the outside so people will buy them. Some you can tell are more yellow or greenish than others. People think they are not ripe if they appear that way. But bananas, I don't know. It's fun to say banana!

the only reason i can give you, is that oranges are full of citric acid, and give an orange color.
Bananas arent called yellows because they are green when they are picked and dont turn yellow for a few days.
