I think it's sad if you don't already know the answer to this question. My children (ages 4 thru 19) tell and show me how much they love me several times a day. My parents tell me at least once a week and show me their love every time they think of me by doing or saying something thoughtful for me. My bf tells me as many times as he can, which is often. He lets me know how important I am to him by putting me first. My best friend even pulls me aside and says "Hey, I love you, you know that don't ya?"
Is your question a rhetorical question or has no one hugged you and told you that they love you? Has no one been thoughtful or kind to you when you needed it most? I have an "adopted" (not legally but in every other way) a son who didn't know what love was till he met our family thru my son back in high school when he dated his gf best friend. His own family were and still are very cruel to him. He is a GREAT son and person. I hope you have not come from the same type of family he has. I am glad God put me in his path. I talked him into joining the Air Force before he ended up in a ditch some where dead cause he felt no one cared. My two sons are now stationed 5 hours from one another and talk via email, myspace and cel every day! Have NEVER known love? How sad, very very sad. I would love you if God had put you in my path. I take in all the ppl the world discards...not the cruel or felony types but the misfits of the universe...good luck in finding what it feels like to KNOW you are loved. I truly mean it. I will pray for you. I think of my adopted son when I read your question. Take care of yourself and know that there is a person waiting to love you if you let them into your life.

love has its own language. it may be difficult to read the language of brain, but it is not at all difficult by even an ignorant man to read the language of love. i just quoted a national hero of India.
