Again I am asking this question after a couple months looking for some input. Again this will be my primary concealed firearm and I plan to buy one shorty after my 21st in a couple of weeks.

I've had my eye on the CZ-75 for some time now...but I'm always open for new suggestions :)

Additionally, when do you think is a good time to start classes for training?

I would buy a Kahr PM9. I have a Kahr PM40, but I think the .40 round is a little too hot for the tiny polymer frame. It's just as small, or smaller, than all of the above mentioned guns. It's also reliable, accurate, and safe. I can't say enough good things about mine.

Mace/pepper spray foam.

Is it better than a gun? probaly not. However you can carry it anywhere, minus the airport. It's small cheap and light. Plus you don't have to worry about all of the BS laws about where and where not you can carry a pistol. Nor do you have to worry about a bighead Cop harrassing you.

I've got a carry permit and numerous pistols from .22 Walther all they way to a custom .45 1911. Used to caryy the Walther around but it was a hassle with schools. BTW you can't even have a gun in a car within a school zone ie the public road passing a school!

If you are just carrying it for personal use a 9mm or a .40 caliber compact would be your best bet. The new springfield XD is a good one and Glocks are always durable but they have nosafety so for a personal gun it isnt the safest form of protection.

you should bypass to a firing variety and have a glance at a number of. it truly is the in elementary words thanks to ensure a gun and techniques to apply it. the size of the gun ought to guage to the size of your fingers, or you is actual not tender utilising it and wont be able to hit a barn door from 5 paces. Shoot a minimum of 500 rounds previously you even imagine of wearing it. I advise of route 500 aimed photos which hit the objective. My standard is a Chech CZ-seventy 5. 9mm, 15 rounds. about 2 pounds loaded (4 pounds) also, make up your ideas. do you want it? And if so, ought to you somewhat be judged with techniques from 12 strangers, or carried with techniques from 6 pals?

I prefer a full size Glock Model 22 in .40 S&W caliber, but you must choose what is comfortable for you. What is right for me, may not be right for you.
