I wonder how your friend is going to feel about it. You should ask her first after they break up before you ask him. Otherwise you could just sneak and have quick and dirty sex but no lasting relationshiph with him and your best firend may never find out. But then you would have the guilt from sneaking around. She might be really hurt and mad or she might not care.

I think you should figure out what kind of feeling she had for them if they break up, for she can get enough time to get over it. Even if she didn't have feelings for him still let her get over it and be real nice and explain to her if it will be ok if you had a relationship with him for you won't have people hating and all kinds of drama. Just be calm and ask him you know what's up with me and you..
GOOD LUCK with your situation!

NO!! it is an unspoken rule between all friends, you NEVER EVER date one of eachothers ex's!, No matter how much you may like him! Unless you are willing to lose your friendship with your best friend. Find another guy!

dont you know the rule that once your friend has been with him hes off limits no matter what but if you decide to go through with asking him out you should at least ask your friend first

my friend ended up dating my ex after he dumped me. we aren't as close as we were. i am still kinda mad at her. but one day we will be super close again. but trust me, don't do it. it will be weird for your friend. it might break apart your friendship. i don't know you, but i don't want that for you. i don't want it for anybody. just ask yourself this, "is my feelings for a guy more important than my friendship?" or "is dating a guy worth loosing a great friendship?" boys are not worth loosing friends. ok? just try to swallow your feelings for him and move on. there are more guys out there for you.
