you can find information about orphanage and asylum on rootsweb and you can post information about him on the messege boards on most genealogy sites. it is possible to send for his original birth certificate once you find his name you don't give a lot of info you can try the dept of human sevrices in the state he was adopted in there is infor mation all over the internet about adoption
