When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

Any man who will feel intimidated by your job, no matter how high power it was, doesn't seem much of a man to me. What if you get together and you get a promotion-what then. He should have been proud of you and supportive and if you were having problems at work, no matter how needy u became he should have been there for you rather than walk away from you. I suggest you count your blessing with this 1 and move forwards-never backwards. Also the fact that he's in a new relationship but he's still trying to get with you and mess with your head-with the I'd love u crap. Tells you he's very immature and can't be trusted. Don't have drinks with him he will only be detrimental to your life.

that means he thinks your hot basically. He will say this because it gives him power over your emotions..he must know how you feel about him. I'm sure he loves knowing you wish you could be with him, don't you like knowing when someone wants to be with you whether you like them like that or nto. Him telling you that gets him your heart because you are hopeful that you will get back what you used to have plus he has his actual girlfriend on the other side to give him what he needs. Don't let him put you in this position if he reallllllly did care for you in that way he wouldn't put you in that position. It would not be a good idea to be trying to start your relationship with him on the intention of ruining someone elses. If he would do that to his girlfriend..whats not to say he wouldnt do the same thing to you with someone else later...

Forget the married guy. He is bored at home and is trying to recapture his single days. I bet if you ask him to leave his wife he would turn green. Tell him to get a permission slip from his wife next time he wants a fling on the side. I bet she won't give him one. Wake up ,tell him to go home and grab his wife She could be starving for a little attention. Sure it is flattering to be desired--but by a single man ,not a JERK.

Unless I am misunderstanding, he isnt single. Why would you want to do that unless you can put all of the rest aside and just be friends? If he has a girlfriend I wouldnt want to get into that situation. Maybe when you both are single.

Well when another girl askes me out or starts to flirt I always say that just usually in different words. It means I am taken, madley in love with the girl who took me, and I would never cheat so I'm sorry.

umm... ok it means what it means. There are no context clues, no read between the lines, hints, clues or things of that nature. If he was single he would love you but he's not so he don't loves you. to be honest with you, you don't need a man like that because while your askin questions he's havin dinner with his current girlfriend. he's just givin you false hope. but have a nice day

Tell him to get single and give you a call.
If he is really interested he will stop his current relationship and persue one with you.
If he just wants to fool around... then he will keep up with this "if i were only single" story.
Dont become the girl on the side.

Nope, don't ever be so needy as to get into another woman's marriage. What does it mean if he would love you if he were single? It's means he's married, and you'd be just the juicy one on the side, hon...... it means he's just not available.

He wants to keep you around in case things don't work out with his current girlfriend. Seems like you're his second choice I would try to find someone that wants to be with you over everyone else.

it probably means he would love you if he was single. Most guys don't think about stuff in the future very good, so he probably just meant what he said.
