my dad wont let me date a 19 year old is he right or wrong?

well I would say I don't know because I went out with a 22 year old when I was 14 until I turned 15 and I was ingaged to him to but hey its all up to you and not all guys older than 18 are looking for one thing and one thing only thats any guy for you!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing as how you are his child and you are underage, he has the right to tell you what is acceptable. Sometimes older guys take advantage of younger girls because the girls are less experienced with love and relationships. I am 19 years old and a lot of my guy friends date younger girls and use them for sex. Your Dad was young once, he knows what goes through a guys mind and he is probably just concerned about you. Stick to dating people your age, at least until you're 18 and old enough to make your own decisions about who you date. I dated a 24 year old when I was 17 and he got me into a lot of bad habits I wish I would have never experienced. Older men can have a huge impact on your life and it's not always a positive one. My first date was when i was 21. Whatever you do don't have sex on your first date, you'll regrett it like i do. The second date was with another guy and we were fine and lasted about 6 months since we took it slow (waited several weeks before sex), but it did not last because i was taking a med for energy and focus that caused psychoticness (adderal/amphetmine) and the boyfriend at the time was bipolar/s.a.d./had phimosis (a penile disorder that makes sex painful sometimes for him). I could go on and on, believe me kiddo you should wait until you're 18 for dating. I tried to get laid at that age and failed, so i gave up and kept looking for "Mr. Right". Thought i found him 3 times (men i dated and slept with were just 3) i dated between 21 and 24 (now) yrs of age so far. Good luck and use only condoms (cheap and nonharmful bc). I don't believe in using chemicals to avoid pregnancy (except sperm-killing stuff called spermicide). Abstaning is also another good thing and healthy for dating too.

right because even though the guy may be with you all the time, he'll just trick you into doing other things like sex.
don't take a relationship so seriously at your age.. even though i'm 16 too. you're just going to end up getting hurt by him.

well in away he is right because hes consided an adult now and the other way is if you guys just dated nothing else tell you are 18 than you would be ok.....but in away you should listen to you parents.....
