Why doesnt the press report this ?

They were until they began running out. For a while this was their method of choice.

Of course they did not understand much about these rockets, and would rarely bother to even make an attempt at aiming them. (We had a joke when I was over there: "Have you heard about the insurgent who fired a rocket in the air? He missed.")

The resistance in Iraq has begun to purchase Russian ground-to- air missles. Helicopters are hardly flying anymore (other than attack copters). I have seen this in my local fishwrap and further found reports on the net.

If they open a steady supply of these things we will have many, many more dead. Look at Soviets in Afghanistan.

Because the missiles probably say "Made in the US" on them. That would be a little embarrassing, don't you think?
