Why does he have to say something about everything I do?

My father does that too, he makes me feel like I'm too inadequate for the job I apply for, or that I don't know what I am doing. I exercised my maturity when I got out there, got my education and found a job. I'm looking for anew one but now it's like he's more controlling and I'm an adult so I just continue to press and do what I have to, rely on friends and when worse comes to worse-I'll bail.

It can goes both way. Number one: He's just trying to look out for you. Technically, you're still his little girl who's growing up too fast. He just don't want to see you get hurt by anything or anyone so he gives you advices (even if you don't see them as advices. Dads have a weird way of showing us how they care) so he can protect you when you're ready to leave him for good. Or it's Number two: He just wants your life to be under his watch 24/7. Maybe you should ask him why he constantly control everything you do. He might just be felling insecure or something. It's better to have a talk with him now before you're out of the house and he's still trying to find out what the heck you're doing every hour of the day.

He is your father and has a right to say what he thinks about what you do.
