Take a look at the answers. No two answers are the same. Clearly, it all depends on individual taste. Just Keep trying different beers until you find one you like and then that one is the best tasting beer.

I am an American who lives in Belgium.
All American beer is just a fancy label and a lot of advertisement to make you think you'll be special if you drink THIS beer, like THIS handsome guy on TV.
But here in Belgium only about 10% of the beer companies advertise. That leaves 200 beers that you have to taste for yourself to really KNOW!
After 15 years, I'm well into my research my friend.
A dark beer is more flavorful...like bread.
I recommend Westmalle or Chimay. These brands are sold in the US. $4 a bottle?
There's a French Canadian beer that might be available to you: Trois Pistoles.
Finally, the beer everyone in Belgium TRYS TO FIND and keep for a special occasion is: WESTVLETTEREN. You have to make a reservation by phone to buy ONE case. Then drive to the Trappist Monk Abbey where it's brewed in very limited quantities. 12% alcohol, deep brown color, rich in taste, long lasting foam and carbonation.
THAT's one hell of a beer, my friend. (check the high price on ebay!)

I just discovered a new beer this summer called Brahma...My fave beer before it was Corona, but Brahma is along the same line flavour-wise as Corona but way better.

I'm going with a seasonal brew. Sam Adams Winter Lager. Red Hook IPA is pretty good too.
