First, if you do not believe you cannot converse, and all of those who believe and pray, do converse, directly with HIM!

Your issue, like many others, is your self!

You do not know where you came from, why you are here, where you will go when you leave this place! Worse, you think that this tiny, what ever, in the mist of all that exist, is the whole and the all.

Humans have no clue as to what is out there, other physics that may exist, far beyond the limited vision/experience of our capability within this microscopic environment that we live in.

We cannot explain anything, still we want to limit/say what cannot be!

Who/what is GOD? The energy/force that created all of what is? Nothing dead created anything! Nothing that is did not just pop out of nothing and start existing! You got an answer?

I don't, so I will just say GOD! That is a word, universally under stood to mean a living force capable of making all of this happen! There is nothing to believe. Just look around you, no,
just contemplate yourself!

Jehovah's own voice was only heard 3 times.

At Jesus' baptism, Matt 3: 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

Prior to Jesus' death. John 12:27 Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me out of this hour. Nevertheless, this is why I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name.” Therefore a voice came out of heaven: “I both glorified [it] and will glorify [it] again.”

and finally at the transfiguation.

Matt 17: 5While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, "(B)This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!"

All other times it was either an angel or Jesus, as the Word.

Judges 13:21Now the angel of the LORD did not appear to Manoah or his wife again. (U)Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the LORD.

22So Manoah said to his wife, "(V)We will surely die, for we have seen God."
