That depends on how serious the bleeding is. It could be one of many things, from an internal hemorrhoid to a parasite to cancer.

If it's not too serious, and if the blood is bright red and not black, then make a doctor's appointment. If it's black or dark, call your doctor and have him see you now. If it's profuse bleeding, tell your doctor who will tell you (over the phone) if you should go to the ER.

But this is not normal. Do something about it now.

I first would ask myself if I only bleed during a bowel movement or is it a constant thing? If so, I would see a doctor to have him do a colonoscopy to see what is causing the problems.
