..choose a time when global communication had not evolved to "show himself" to the world, well I say world, I mean a small town in the middle east..
My thinking is this...
Given that it is a sin to worship any other, not worship, etc, would it not have made more sense to "reveal himself" to us when the Global Media could communicate to 90% of the globe that his "word" was the gospel - this could have been recorded/reported and saved for all future generations of doubters?
Your thoughts ?

People who say "we still wouldnt believe even if he revealed himself today"...your so wrong, their are millions of people on the fence, if he "showed himself" today there could be no doubters....

People your not covering yourself in glory here...
He set the rules of sin... he also gave us our ability to question and free will. That means we question and scrutinise.
If it was so important to Him for us to believe in Him, why did he give us the ability not to?

Lindy et al... Firstly, I am not confused, dont insult me or my intelligence. Secondly, if Jesus or God were to make some huge symbolic act to everyone on tv, every Atheist would have no choice but to sit back and say..
"Well what do you know, I was wrong...praise the Lord.."
However, we know that that is not going to happen...

My thoughts: Belief is for the weak. just to let you know, I say it as "god" because everyone talks about him/her/it all the time, yet I don't have an ounce of belief (doesn't get capitalized) and it's just something that all of you talk about ( quotations ). Do yourself a favor and grow up. "god" is just a childrens story for grown-ups. When a loved one dies or something goes wrong in a persons life, they look at "god" to help them. In such cases, I would have to say a bottle of Southern comfort and a 12 pack of budweiser would have to be my "god". Do you really think that "god" is going to be there in your heart to help you when a loved one dies? Hell no, you are going to cry about it for a couple of years (mainly on holidays), drink excessively, possibly do some drugs, and have the friends and family who are still there with you to help. Do you remember having your teacher in I believe a creative arts class teach you about real and not real? try to remember, then tell me is "god" real? has he helped you in any way? have you gone out with a couple of buddies and "god" for a beer and to watch the game? Did you see "god" write the bible? Nobody saw "god" write the bible. Chances are, it was some guy living on the streets all hopped up on acid, and started writing all this wierd crap. Think about it. You are worshipping a bum...lol...wow...that is weak. Sin? I stood outside in a hurricane, screaming "gods" name in vane, telling of all "sins" and not a damn thing happened. Grow up. All of you are pathetic. You worship someone that nobody has ever seen. I thought it was bad enough having to deal with this damn government and their crappy words of wisdom, laws, guidelines, and taxes. you guys believe in something tha isn't even real, and listen to what was probably the words or a bum (not a so-called "god")

You're not thinking properly.
#1 - He is revealed today through His creation - nature. And that's to everybody for all time.
#2 - He is revealed today through His Word. And that's been recorded and sovereignly preserved for all future generations of doubters.
If Jesus appeared on CNN tonight and preached His gospel, rather than becoming believers, the doubters would remain doubters. Why?
Jesus said that if you will not believe what Moses and the prophets wrote in the Old Testament, then you will not believe His words either. (John 5:46)
He also said that if you will not believe what Moses and the prophets wrote in the Old Testament, then you will not believe even if you saw Him raise someone from the dead. (Luke 16:31)
And that's the truth.

Absolutely!!! It used to be anything extra formal, but I used to speak to Him some thing the cause and considering that I saved ahead to my possess ambition and wants, whilst He gave me avertisements I stored none and did my approach going into increasingly trubles! Into an finish, inside a deep depresion, He stored my lifestyles (!!!) the very moment I left away of all my deep wants... There, empty center, I used to be stuffed with God's Light and Peace and Love - a entire New LIFE, a brand new frame, a New Vision over the beyond and the longer term :) :) :) Yes, He is my Saviour!!!

No matter what God does it is perfect. It is Satin that makes you doubt God and what he does. God will reveal him self again eventually. God has his elect that will go with him for eternity. The rest are being mislead by Satin as written in the bible. You are under the impression that God is a little pathetic person upstairs whom is begging to save all people and generations. He is not. He has his elected group and they will be with him forever. How about reading the bible instead of listening to these gospil groups who are all out there for the almighty dollar.
John 10: 26-30
26 But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me
28 and I give AM eternal life to them, and they will never perish and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

God works in mysterious ways dude.
That means that whatever would seem sensible to you is not the way God would do it for reasons that you couldn't understand.
There was a reason he gave the message to people living in the dark ages and told them to spread it across the globe when it would have been easier to just do a sattelite broadcast. A good reason.

Its hard using a finite mind to comprehend the infinite mind of God, but it might have been because of the times then being simpler . Life was not very complicated, mans basic instincts were not as complex as they are today. Also there is the lineage of Christ. A greater miracle would have evolved if He were born today, and with computers as they are today, His lineage could be proved, thus requiring less faith, than is needed to believe the lineage as we know it today. God knew what He was doing, He always does..

It was recorded and reported..but I know what you are saying...and here is my answer for that:
It wouldn't have made a bit of difference, because they would still reject Him, coming up with some lame excuse, just like they rejected Him then.
He came when He was suppose to..it was in the perfect plain of God. And Jesus/God is now..He still reveals Himself to those who are open to hear Him.

he didnt need to show himself at a later time. he knew that those with the right heart condition (which are the ones he wants anyways) would serve him reguradless.
even when he did in the past there were still those that would not follow him. pharoh comes to mind right now but there are endless others.

HE does not live for us we live for HIM. If people doubt HIS exsistance, that is on them. If GOD wanted everyone to praise him unconditionally, he would have stopped at the angels. HE gave us free will and for those who do not praise HIM, it is their loss.
Why cant people see HIM everyday? I do, I see the entire world as HIM and what HE can create. That I can sit here and type this, it is HIS will.
