Most will say Islam, but they haven't quite peaked yet, and they have yet to cause a continent wide darkage because they didn't approve of certain text.

I'd say christians have been the most dangerous, despite the general 'love thy neighbor' tune of most of the scripture.

More less the same idiots causing the trouble just hiding behind different religions.

That's a really relative question.

Take for example Jainism (it's practiced in India and other parts of SE Asia). They are vegetarians and even sweep the ground in front of them as they walk to keep from stepping on bugs. However, that sort of extreme behavior can also be harmful.

Zoroastrianism (thank deity it's no longer practiced) was a pretty violent and absolutist. The ancient Mayans (see Apocalypto for a taste) were pretty violent (all the human sacrifice and bloodletting). Pentacostalism (holy rollers) seems to have quite a few failures at the serpent venom test, but I guess that's only hurting themselves.

The most damage? It's a tough one. I guess I'll whimp out and say any religion that doesn't accept other faiths or persecutes those of other faiths is probably the most destructive, and that includes both the Islmaic jihads and the Christian missionaries.

Right now, it's a tie between Islam & Xtianity; Islam has gotten recently worse, but Xtianity still has a track record that's hard to beat.

Islam can only get so bad, only because they don't have the combined military/economic strength that the Xtians currently have.

But don't think Xtianity has peaked as far as evil goes - they're always ready for one more Crusade or Inquisition. And with the high level of fanaticism and denial of reality running in American religion today, I don't rule it out as a remote possibility.

That is a very loaded question, young lady.
If you have an interest in hypocricy and the excesses of religion and churches, read about the Spanish Inquisiton, one of the nastier and best documented periods of ritual torture in history. A simple Google search of the words 'torture'+'inqusition' will provide many juicy nuggets.

would say in my personal opinion any Religion who tries to ram their Religious Belief System down the throat of any person who does not want to accept their Religion. Especially those Religions who force their Belief System on any of the Indigenous Peoples who are quite satisfied and want to be left alone.

THere are no bad religions, only misguided people who manipulate those religions to justify their own and, in some cases, illegal, actions.

If all humans faithfully practiced their religions - Not just Jews, Christians, and Muslims, but EVERY RELIGION - then there would be peace and happiness. Humans, however, are sadly lacking in the disciplines that would allow them to be true to their chosen creeds.

All religions are the same... I'm not religious, They separate us all ,... Religions are the cause of many wars,... and many children die,... I mean,... If you need to believe in a God ...believe in Him and all that you think it's right ...why believe in a religion? What is the point? ....I believe in my God,... and for me,... there is no need for a religion. I only do what I think it's right,... and try not to do what is wrong,... I don't need a religion to tell me what's right or wrong,... I already know,... we all know what's right and wrong....
