I met some men between the ages of 27 - 32 still living at home & receiving an allowance from their parents. I ran into them at a bar, they were very good looking men, seemed educated, and have decent jobs, yet were boasting about their allowance. When I asked them about their living arrangements, they saw nothing wrong with it & kept saying "would you turn away free money"?

I don't know what to make of this!

I don't know where those men are from, but in many cultures it is perfectly normal to live at home till you are married. Now, about getting an allowance... thats a different story. But, I for example, got into some stupid debt when I was younger, and now (at 25) I am slowly chipping my way at it as much as I can monthy. If they have a reason for living at home, there I don't think it is that big of an issue as long as they are mature and stable. If it is a crutch to escape the responsibilities of living alone, and laziness though... then maybe you might want to speak to some more independant men :)

There are several ways to look at a situation like this. These could be guys that have student loans from college to pay, they may have not gotten a job in their major, which makes it hard for them to make good money, they may have low paying jobs that don't allow them to make enough to get out on their own. I don't agree with them getting allowance from their parents. I think this ia a bit too much. Then again they could just be lazy and don't want to take on responsibility.

How long had they had their stable paying jobs? Had they these days graduated a college software and all got to work their jobs? possibly they're saving up money so as that as quickly as they do pass out they are able to deal with to pay for to lease a very severe high quality place or perhaps purchase their very own place. Allowance? i might guess they're joking and in basic terms needed to determine your reaction... possibly they have been joking related to the completed factor and have been in basic terms attempting to determine who they might get riled up that night....

OMG! They are overgrown children with no sense of themselves. They just can't cut themselves away from the parent's feedbag.
FORGET THEM!
I'm a guy so I should know what they're thinking.

they probably love that, who wouldn't, some guys just dont' like responsibility, and they will probably never grow up. I personally wouldn't like it because i'll take a girl home and my mother knocking on my room door, wether it be the attic or the basement, is not kosher. I could be going downtown or something. oedipus complex, I guess
