look into scholarships and bursaries if you have decent grades, otherwise you'll need to apply for a student loan

There are several ways to initiate yourself getting into college.

First, I want to CONGRATULATE you on your successes! You (and your family) must be very proud of your accomplishments!

Scholarships, for starters . . . find what you're really good at, pursue it and earn part of your tuition. This can be through either regular classes (English, Science, etc.) or extra-curricular activites (art, music, track, sports, etc.)

Student college loans are out there, even for the low-income families. If granted one, the money you get from the career after college will help pay them off. Try either your government resources or local administrative offces in the school to get you started on applying.

Although tough at times to maintain balance, a job on the side (while you're in college) will make you same money. You could either work on campus (like in the bookstore, coffee shop, etc.) or try getting into a facility that specializes in your career field (which could possibly make you even more money).

You are a very lucky young lady! Count your blessings. I regret never having going to college, a personal choice I made at the time I graduated from High School over 20 years ago! I AM happy with my career, but w/o "college knowledge", I am on limited income and it's tough! I've had to take second jobs on, just to make ends meet, at times. BTW, I work with metally-challeged adults in a group home. My side job is substituting grades K through 3, as an aide.

Girlfriend, you get out your big guns, go for what you want and BE A STAR!!!!! I hope some of my information has helped you! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Contact the Financial Aid office of the school you want to attend. You will have to fill out a lot of paperwork but there a lot of grants, scholarships and loans (don't get those unless you absolutely have to) that are available. I went to college for 6 years to get my Master's and had to get it paid for with aid. It can be done.

The college will have a financial aid office. There should be more than enough money available to you, even if you have to borrow most of it. Considering its an HBCU, you should be in good shape for grants and such. Even white folks sometimes qualify, believe it or not, for minority scholarships at HBCUs.

you can go slow and take only a couple of courses each semester and find some work to support your education. You may also try for scholarship merit based and also need based. If you want to pursue education there are ways and ways to find help for it.

Try applying for a scholarship or loan. Or get a part-time job.

I work in Tuskegee, there are plenty of scholarships awarded every year. The government will give you grants if you apply for FAFSA, and there are plenty of jobs that will help you pay.
