I'm not a church-goer, but I do love the feeling I get listening to Christmas music, you know, church songs - not frosty the snowman, performed by a top quality choir.
Are there any churches in San Francisco that have high performance choir's that are doing Christmas hymns this month?
I'm a white guy, if that matters, but I don't care what color the congregation is if they don't care what color I am.

Chanticleer is from San Francisco I do believe. If they do a Christmas concert in your area, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I went to one of their concerts in Minneapolis and it was absolutely amazing--sends shivers down your spine it's so beautiful!
I just checked their website ( http://www.chanticleer.org ). They have two nights scheduled for San Francisco: San Francisco at St. Ignatius Church, 650 Parker. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 8pm and Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 8pm.

No it doesn't snow.But it's cold,all you need is a coat between heavy and light,it's Beautiful! There are huge Christmas trees in downtown San Fransisco,and at night you look out the window it's SO pretty!

Well, in the modern version of Sodom, you may have to look real hard. Start with some African Methodist Churches. They are really great at getting the spirit moving. God bless.
