i have a really enoying aunt and every single thing she says is a blaitng lie and she drives me crazy but i dont want to hurt my uncles feelings by saying anything but my whole family hates her

some body needs to say something before there is a blow-up there. take your uncle on the side and let him know what is going on and how everyone feels. maybe he can talk to her and make some changes so that the whole family will get along.........the holidays are coming...........so try to clear things up before then.good luck and happy holidays

whats wrong with being honest?.. you must understand that people such as your aunt want to have command and control over as many people as possible.. they in some fashion or another try to develop was to accomplish this.. what you must do is to not allow her or anyone else have that kind of control over you.. if she can make you uncomfortable or emotional in any way.. then she has, at least to some degree, the ability to control you.. stand up and say what needs to be said.. speak for your self so that she knows you have drawn the line.. if it upsets your uncle, well then he is already under her control and you just have to accept that fact.. Be yourself and trust the truth.

I say "Smile and turn the other cheek". You can also call her on a lie by telling her something along the lines of "that is very interesting...I would like to know where you learned that...can you tell me more?" It may not stop her, but it will let her know you are aware of her game, and it may make her stop temporarily. My sister in law was like that...May God have mercy on your family get togethers!

I know exactly how you feel. the best thing to do is cope. I'm sorry I can't really give you a solution, but so many people's feelings would get hurt. good luck w/ your aunt.
