i know each person has a different opinion on this, i'm just curious if any athiests believe that we have the power to create our experiences, both indivdually and collectively. it follows the law of cause and effect but on an esoteric level.

i'm talking about the belief that we can access the power of pure potental and manifest anything, a life situation, a better job, a mate..etc.

i'm asking a generalized question, yes...
i don't generalize anyone. i understand that each of us thinks differently and has their own take on things. - this is the problem with group consciousness- religious or non-religious, i agree.

and i don't pride my intellect on my spelling. big deal.

I think the important elements from quantum physics (Bell's theorem, etc.) teach us that there's an underlying unity and that the negative images of god that we find in the bible, koran and elsewhere are all obvious projections of people's egos. Somehow, the majority of us want an ego-based god that supports sin, guilt, hell, punishment, reward, etc. Atheists reject the negative, ego-projected images of god; if people didn't go around parading that stuff as 'God' then there would be a lot less atheism.

ah you only reported it your self...god isn't actual. quantum physics doesnt no longer state any non secular disposition you fool. quantum physics does state there turned right into a large bang. that's likely brought about by the most infinitely small area transforming into inifinitely dense and eploding...a grand architect or god may have made this ensue. yet he didnt make someone called adam or a ***** called eve. thats a fairy tale. end BELIEVEING IN faith AND imagine FOR your self YOU BRAINWASHED SIMPLETON. I wager YOUR AMERICAN

The question is Do believers in God's plan believe in Free will to create our experiences?

If God has a plan or "destiny" for us, then what is the point of our so called free will? If no matter what we choose to do, it has already been planned by God, then it's not really a choice is it? If we choose not to believe and our punished for that choice, it's not really a choice either is it? True Free Will of the spirit comes from lack of consequences. It's not a choice with a gun to your head.

Do atheists as a whole discount quantum physics?

Why would they. Almost certainly the greatest contributors to QM are atheists.

Oh, now you've gone all woo-woo on us. I don't think you'll find this kind of question on your quantum physics exam.

Quantum physics is science. Science is a self-correcting process that eventually hones in on accurate descriptions and predictions. If quantum physics eventually shows itself to be sub-par science, then it will be discarded.

Tell you what...let's make the same deal about God.

Atheists (Yes, you misspelled it), are a diverse group of people who only agree on the fact that there are no gods. You can't generalize how they think.

*sighs* You've been watching that "What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?" movie ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399877/ ), haven't you?

No, that movie is bogus. None of that is real. I believe in actual science that doesn't use "Ramtha" as an academic source. We do not affect anything with our thoughts beyond the flow of neurotransmitters in our heads.
