I am interested in going to mid wifery school. I need to know of a school near Montgomery County PA. Also any info. about mid wifery practices would be helpful

well I've been a BSN ob nurse for only 28yrs and work with CNM. but in this state and plenty more there are lay midwifes with schooling and apprenticeships you should contact your local health dept for info or contact free standing birthing centers look on the Internet. Look outside the lines

There is no "mid wifery" school. A midwife is a nurse with a masters degree. You would have to have a BSN (bachelor of science in nursing) and then go back for your masters and specialize in midwifery. And a lot of states don't license midwife's anyway. Sorry, no short cuts for nurses (took me 6 years to work from an ASN to BSN!)
