after an exhaustive study of alchemy and the production of the philosophers stone it is my opinion it should not be made a subject in science classes. Chemistry is close enough. Magic does however have a place in classrooms, and since evolution is taught there probably that is also where magic should be taught. Once a person understands the principles of magic it is extremely easy to debunk areas like vertical evolution and classify them as uneducated guesses. My position on alchemy is based on what others have done with the knowledge they have found like dynomite etc. Did not want u to think I keep this a secret because I am selfish, it is just too dangerous for people like George to have.

Art historian and pioneer of the academic field "visual studies", James Elkins is an alchemist. He was did a demonstration at a school once and almost blew up their lab. Funny. In art academics he is very well known. He wrote a book called What Painting Is where he compares painting to alchemy.

Not magic, everyone would fail and schools don't like the idea of having bad grades on their records. Alchemy makes me think of Chemistry, except minus the trying to turn things to gold.
