Two people are living together, they break up. Weeks later the girl says she is pregnant but claims it belongs to someone else. How can the guy get a paternity test if she won't agree to one?

i think ppl have misread your question...she is telling you, that you are NOT the babies father and you say it is your baby...this is a tough one since you were never married...do not rely on over the counter or on line DNA testing...the only suggestion i have would be to call the Tennessee bar association and have them refer you to an attorney who specializes in mens rights...i am afraid though you may not have much to stand on just like the cases where ppl living together one wants an abortion and the other doesnt...i do hope everything works out the best for the child because it sounds like things are already off to a rocky start...http://www.tba.org/ this is the link for the bar association and http://fatherhood.about.com/od/tennessee/Tennessee_Resources_for_Fathers.htm this is another resources link that may be helpful....good luck..

I suggest you wait until after the baby is born. Rarely will a judge make a woman have an amniocentesis to prove paternity without a compelling reason. You will have to get a lawyer who will help you file the necessary paper work needed to get a court ordered DNA test done. You will have to pay for the test, which I believe is about $300 and the testing time can take several weeks. If you are proven to be the father than she will also have the right to petition the court for child support from you.

After the baby is born you can ask to visit. All you need is an on line kit. A mouth swab of both of you and the truth will be revealed. Word of caution. If this is your child the mother at some time will tell the child you tried to deny you're it's parent. Do you want that in your relationship with your child. Although I understand you don't want to pay a life of child support for someone else's child.

I would go to your states government website because all states have different laws and procedures when it comes to Family Court matters. Hopefully you can just get an order from Family Court to have a test. Especially if you are asked or ordered to pay child support. Good Luck!

You have to take it to court. I actually think you have to SUE.. in order to get her made to done one! That just happened recently with a friend of mine. The man wanted a paternity test done because he knew his wife was running around on him and she wouldn't get one done, so he sued her and the court made them all do one and low and behold the baby was his! But I know you have to press charges and take it to court. You cannot make her do anything unless their is a case! Good Luck!

curiously the husband signed the start certificates in the previous he found out approximately her affair(s). regardless of whether or not he signed the start certificates, if he got here upon he became into not the father befor the youngster became into 2 or 3 years previous (based upon the state), he can nonetheless divorce her and not owe newborn help. whether, if he maintains to stay together with her and carry the youngster as his very own, then he stands out as the criminal father of the youngster, whether he's not the organic and organic father. i might advise he get out now, because of the fact she would be in a position to in all likelihood cheat returned, and the subsequent time, he will already be on the hook for newborn help for this newborn.

He can get an attorney and the attorney will arrange for a court ordered test. My husband went through the same thing.

Go to court. You might have to wait until the baby is born, but find out for sure. Even if she doesn't agree to it, a court order gives her no choice.
