keep asking questions about religion, or giving answers that are anti religion? Do you not realize that you are in the religion and spirituality section? I can understand if your trying to find religion and find your way to God...But if not then shouldnt you find another section to harrass? Such as mythology and folklore? I think that that is an appropiate place for you to spread your myths about God....Becuase here we all know he's real...

I'm not slamming anyone...I am asking out of mere curiosity.

I still don't think that most of you even understand my question...I'm NOT preaching or trying to tell anyone what they should or should'nt believe. When I first posted this question it was in response to so many people bashing what ever they did'nt agree with. If you have an anwer to a question then answer it. If not and you think that religion in general is nothing but a myth...Then perhaps that is the section in which you belong. If you are only here to critize and pass judgement then isn't it you who is constantly passing judgement? Also I'm not asking about your spirituality or if you believe in Buddah, God's or Goddesses,etc....Cuz...I don't care! All I want to know is if you can't be nice then would you please take it somewhere eles?

Absolutely, maybe they need to have an atheist section here, so they leave us alone, then they can have their own little hate club.
Or maybe deep down, they believe in Him and are looking for the truth here.

Oh dear, another sainted Christian. So right and everyone else is wrong!! The religious section is only for Christians?

Isn't it lucky that there are so many other religions, atheists and non believers out there that are so more tolerant!

Another very good example as to how intolerant Christians are against everyone who is not one!!! How very, very sad!!!!

This question amply demonstrates why so many people are here criticising Christians. If such questions did not appear perhaps the christian message would appear instead of the hate, dislike and intolerance of the misguided who think they are Christian but cannot see they are behaving in a way that would be totally unacceptable to their God!

"Such as mythology and folklore? I think that that is an appropiate place for you to spread your myths about God...."

I think that's an appropriate place for you to spread your myths about "god" too. Great! We're in agreement. So you can start going there instead of here, and I'll stay here and deal with the spirituality section.

Im not atheist nor do I believe in your god. Im just a man following a path. Sins will come but nothing will last. But it is insulting to everyone including other catholics for you to say that people that dont agree with your beliefs are believing a myth. I dont understand how or why "your god" would create such an ignorant being such as yourself.

It is religion and "spirituality." People can be spiritual without being religious. Moreover, you don't have to believe in a subject in order to respond in that section - I may not believe in government, but I can still respond to politics & government. The subject includes discussion of the entire spectrum of religious beliefs - include a lack of religious belief. I hardly find mythology and folklore appropriate topics to discuss the history of the church and the impact of religion. But thanks again for telling everyone else what you think is appropriate.

Here in Canada we have the right to free speech ,thought, and expression. How do you know what you believe even has any basis of fact unless it is challenged and debated. Many religious people form beliefs that are not even supported in the "Holy Books" they throw at me, many of which are racist sexist and so on. I appreciate that you have faith in Dogma. But lets face it , No idea if god supports killing in the name of it.

Well if you just cut out all the atheist parts you have the Christians bashing Muslims, Muslims bashing Hindus, Hindus bashing Christians, and everyone bashes the Jews. So we thought it would be nice to point out how all of you are just as hypocritical as the next guy that you are slamming because they are different that you.

First of all I would never waste my time asking about something as ridiculous as religion. Second, you sound like a little brainwashed child....I'm not trying to find my way to 'god' (that is as stupid as trying to find the Tooth Fairy). Lastly, I'm not in the R&S section....I'm in Society and Culture. Believe in science not moronic fairytales.

This is the mythology and folklore section, 21st century edition.

In this section, however, is where I find people trying to impose religious rules onto the secular population, such as the following:

1. Efforts to prevent embryonic stem cell research
2. Efforts to poison science education
3. Efforts to enslave women for 9 months against their wills
4. Efforts to criminalize gay people and prevent same-gender marriage
5. Efforts to support torture by the US government
6. Efforts to impose prayer in public schools
7. Efforts to maintain a reference to God in the pledge of allegiance
8. Efforts to keep atheists out of the Boy Scouts of America

"Becuase here we all know he's real..." I think that statement was written about Jupiter on the walls of a house in Pompeii. They couldn't spell, either.

NO, we DO NOT "all know he's real".

What next, will you tell Buddhists and Shintoists and Taoists and Pagans and Hindus and people practicing Native American spirituality to stay away, too?

You don't own this place.

You need to look up "spirituality" in the dictionary.

Or just look back through the Y!A archives to see how many times this question has been asked already.
