DO not try any pills. Don't mess with your health. Diet pills can affect your heart and do some serious damage.
The moviestar diet is a scam. There is no good diet if it says it is fast. You gain it all back and double. Be wise please.

Go to www.sparkpeople.com
It is a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose and by when etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. It is free with support from the members and a real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!

God Bless!

Everybody's body is different. What works for 1 person won't necessarily work for another. However, there are general guidelines you should follow:

-Increase your activity. Even as little as 10 minutes a day have benefits. Talk a walk around the neighborhood or even just walk around the house. Do some yoga. Buy some exercise tapes or better yet, if you have cable, watch fitness TV! They have programs all day long and lots of variety! While watching TV or even reading a book, do some leg lifts. Park further from the office so you walk more. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Just get out and increase your activity level as much as you can.

-Watch what you eat. Don't deprive yourself because you'll just set yourself up for failture, but pay attention what you're eating and how much. Increase the good stuff while decreasing the bad stuff.

I have been a faithful follower of the Atkins diet for 10 years. I initially lost 50 pounds in about three months and have weighed around 170 since (I am 6'1" tall). It took some willpower (but less than the low fat diets I tried many times before). The effort was worth it. I have always worked out, so I don't think that had much to do with my weight loss. Now, I eat mostly what I want - but I am always careful about not overdoing it on carbs. Good luck.

As a full time carer for your mum, you probably are quite busy.
Use daily chores to exercise. Don't take everything up the stairs in one go but one thing at a time (Great for your glutes, bum muscles). You could get beginners DVD for pilates as well....it's great for toning up. Make sure you really enjoy what you eat, think quality! Use smaller plate to make sure you eat smaller portions and the most important thing...drink plenty of water. However, as a carer you probably forget about your own well being and it would be great if you could get out of the house on a regular basis, just by and for yourself and maybe go to the gym, join your local running club or go round the park for a brisk walk!

First of all you need to exercise (walk up the stairs) for a least 30 Min's per day then you need look at your diet eat fruit instead of chocolate and sweets and vegetables instead of chips always try to eat breakfast lunch and dinner and aim for 1700 calories per day most foods now have the calorie content now! there are approx 4000 calories in 1lb of fat so do the math. If you use more energy than you consume then you will lose fat that's a fact!

Secondly it's also about your mindset for me i need a least 6 good reasons to lose weight they can be whatever "floats your boat" but make sure they are GOOD it's very important that you have at least 6 because you will talk yourself out of it if you can get through the first few weeks and people start to notice the desire to succeed will be more than the desire to eat crap.

I lost 10 lbs in 1 month by doing nothing but change my diet. I cut out sweets for the most part, and when I wanted a snack I'd reach for one of those 100-calorie packs (I think keebler or nabisco makes them in all sorts of things - 100 calorie pack of dorito's, cookies, etc). Plus, I ate a lot of fruits and vegetables. I also tried to eat slowly so that I could listen when my body was telling me that I was full, and it prevented me from overeating. I also didn't eat right before bed.

well when trying to lose weight, the best thing that you can do is cardio. so try and make some time for walking or jogging....anything that will get your heart rate up. try mixing up your diet too....cut out a lot of fatty foods if you can and try not to eat after 7p.m. just find what works for you and you should see the pounds melt away. hope that helped a little.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

choose ur diet carefully dont eat anything with more than 5% fat in it, stop eating when you no longer feel hungry dont finish the plate for the sake of it, I would also suggest an excercise bike in front of the tele to burn off the calories, do it steadily good luck
