I have an Apple- shaped body, unfortunately- and when I tried hittin the gym, I just became a lot broader in my shoulders... yuck! I have a slim lower body.

The fat storage is genetic, how can I fight it?????????!!! Help me! Please!

Fat storage is genetic but you can still beat it by toning and sculpting your body. Most women do not gain muscle that easily either. If you find that you are getting broad it may be due to temporary swelling of the muscles but when the fat starts to breakdown it will disappear. If you are that concerned then avoid strength training and only tone, as in do high reps with low weight and do cardio. There is only so much you can do with how your body is shaped naturally. You probably think you look worse then you do. Think of all those women who can't lose their hips and ***. If you are really concerned then you may want to shell out for a personal training.

hi

sounds just like what i had
lost 30 kg in 6 months
do not try and lose it in one go
cut out anything fried
eat oven cooked food , after a few days you get used to the taste
cut out any additional sugar, use sweetener instead
eat regularly
3 times a day
eat much smaller portions
i cut out 75% of what i used to eat
it took a couple of weeks to get used to it
you feel constantly hungry
then it all clicks and you cant eat more if you wanted to
do not nibble between meals
drink water if feeling hungry
exercise regularly
light weights and lots of reps
cardiovascular (cross trainer best) take a MP3 player to relieve the boredome
i did all this and lost 30 kg and went from a 40 waist to a 36
no major muscle development just toned
shame i cant sort my ugly face out but te rest is fine

I also have a friend who is apple shaped. I would reccommend stomach exercises and arm exercises. With your arms, move them in a circular movement to get them more toned. But try cutting out all the junk and eating healthily and exercising! As being apple-shaped is genetic, you have to accept that and try to best to keep your upper body toned! Good luck:)

Girl, you is beautiful the way you is...You just gots to luv 'dat body 'dat God gave you wif' all you might.

I'm just kidding...you're pretty much stuck with the body you have. Don't do upper body and do cardio...should slim you a little.

Or...you could probably hire a personal trainer to make a specific workout/diet right for you based on what you want. Costs money though.
