Most likely but no for sure remedy. Most male dogs who are "fixed" loose the urge to do so. But a lot depends on the breed, size and age of the dog. Is he a young puppy, or older adult male dog? Is this a case of him doing it all the time or occassionally and randomly? Etc etc etc.

Pam is right--he is trying to be the "alpha" member of your pack and dominate you. Neutering will help, but may not fix the problem. You need to establish that you are in charge, not him. We've done this with our two male dogs. When they get excessively agressive or start trying to hump, I force them onto their backs and hold their mouths closed (don't cover the nostrils). Say "No!" firmly and remain in that position until the dog stops struggling. Also, don't break eye contact until he does.

Hard to say - I have a female dog and she loves to hump my husband. She's been fixed plus I never thought girl dogs did that. Good luck!

the dog will still try to do it occasionally but it wont be as bad as when it wasnt fixed. All male dogs fixed or not will still sometimes have they urge to hump. hope this helps.

Give it several months after the male is neutered for the hormones to leave his body. He should stop then.

Humping is not sexually related... he is trying to dominate you. He does not see you as Alpha. He wants that roll.

Yes, but allow a few weeks for his horomone levels to drop. Also work on breaking this habit by correcting him when he tries it.
